Dorothy Vickers-Shelley, former school librarian in the Urbana School District, passed away on July 24th at Carle Arbours in Savoy at the age of 74. Ms. Vickers-Shelley was a 1975 graduate of the University of Illinois Graduate School of Library and Information Science, and was librarian at the Yankee Ridge Elementary School in Urbana for over 25 years until her retirement in 2003. A brief biographical profile of her life can be found on This Legacy Is Yours. Funeral arrangements will be handled by Perry's Twin City Mortuary Service, Champaign.
