On Wednesday, July 22, I went to visit with Sheldon Public's director, Tammy Rice, and her dedicated staff. They have been adding their items into the LINC catalog and are ready to start adding their patrons.
They should be coming online soon! Congratulations! Donna
Local artist Amy Chrisman donated the 12” x 16” artist proof of the giclee print of the historic Fischer Theatre to the Danville Public Library Board of Trustees at its monthly meeting on July 20, 2009. This is the sixth in her Vermilion County Landmark series. Chrisman previously donated the first five in the series to the Library: Lamon House, Masonic Temple, Kathryn Randolph Theater, Danville Stadium, and First Presbyterian Church. A portion of the sales of the giclee prints help raise funds for the featured landmarks. The series is also available as note cards and postcards from the Java Hut and the Vermilion County Museum. For more information on other Vermilion County Landmark products, visit www.chrismanstudio.com. Pictured is Amy Chrisman with Bill Satterwhite, President of the Danville Public Library Board.
