Artist Chrisman Donates DHS Print to Danville Public Library

Local artist Amy Chrisman presented a 12” x 16” artist’s proof of a giclee print of Danville High School to Danville Public Library at the April 19 meeting of the Library’s Board of Trustees.  The print is the seventh in Chrisman’s “Vermilion County Landmarks” series of local historic buildings.  In addition to honoring local landmarks, Chrisman’s prints help to raise funds for the organizations that oversee the buildings. Prints and note cards are available from each of the organizations and at the Stage Presents gift shop located in the Fischer Theatre on Vermilion Street in Downtown Danville.  Through Chrisman’s previous donations, the Library owns artist’s proofs of the entire series:  Lamon House, Masonic Temple, Kathryn Randolph Theater, Danville Stadium, First Presbyterian Church, and the Fischer Theatre.  Pictured are Amy Chrisman (left) and Danville Public Library Board President Bill Satterwhite.
