The Danville Public Library Children’s Department invites kids to show off their hair styling skills at its “May Day Hair Event” on Saturday, May 1, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. The event will be held in the first floor Meeting Room of the library. It is co-sponsored by Green Meadows Library, Danville School District #118, and Danville Mass Transit.
The event will feature a braids-beads-bows parade and “silver beauty” hair. There will be a “Kids’ Moments” presentation, puppets, crafts and music. The event will include tips on good and acceptable behavior, manners, and respect for others. Kids wishing to show off their braids and hairstyles should sign up in the Children’s Department of the Library.
