Library Director - Carbondale Public Library

Salary range $45,000-$55,000 DOQ, plus benefits. Start date:  March 1, 2010.

• Minimum requirements:   ALA-accredited MLS; at least 5 years of progressively responsible library experience, of which 3 years must be in an administrative and management capacity; experience in developing and managing a budget.

• Preferred requirements:   Strong personnel management skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, management experience in a public library working collaboratively with local government groups, grant-writing experience, ability to work well with a diverse community, an interest in and understanding of emerging technologies in the information field.
