LINC Update

LTnet E-Mail changes scheduled

This weekend, May 5 and 6, LTLS will be replacing the LTnet server. After this replacement, there will be some changes to LTnet email. These changes will affect personal LTnet email accounts as well as generic 'library' email accounts (ex: tonlib@ltnet.ltls.org) that were set up to handle bounced email notices for each library. Here is a summary of the changes:

1. LTLS Webmail will remain the same after the changeover.

2. Text-based PINE access will no longer be available.

3. Support for POP access via mail client software such as Outlook, Eudora, and other POP client programs will continue after the changeover. However, the first time messages are downloaded after the replacement is finished, you may have duplicate e-mails downloaded from the new server, if your client is configured to 'keep messages on the server'.

Please check the Orphan List.
A number of new titles have been added.

When sending material to LTLS to be cataloged, be sure to clearly identify it.

LINC Training Classes scheduled

Additional LINC training classes have been scheduled for May. All classes are held at LTLS headquarters.

LINC Getting Started - May 14 at 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
LINC Basic Circulation - May 24 at 9:00 a.m. - 12: 30 p.m.
