LINC Update

Bement School Library now online

Congratulations to Sheryl McKibben (shown below) and staff of the Bement K-12 School Library! This library came online with LINC on Friday, August 31. The library completed the process of coming online in less than 1 year, adding over 12,000 items and 400 students and faculty to LINC during that time.

Registration Reminder for "Future of Integrated Library Systems" Symposium

Don't forget to register for the LTLS-sponsored Symposium on the Future of Integrated Library Systems which will be held on September 13-15, in Champaign. Online registration form, agenda, speaker bios and hotel information is available at the symposium website. This is a major conference with nationally known speakers and promises to be an excellent opportunity for library staff and trustees to become better informed about the changing environment for integrated library systems.

All LINC libraries should plan on sending at least one representative to this important conference.

Sidney Community Library

Sidney Community Library began adding items to LINC on August 30. This library joined LINC with the help of an ISL automation grant and will be adding its collection of 9,000 items to the shared database over the next year.

LINC Policy Council Ballot open until 9/4

If you are a LINC Library Director, don't forget to vote for members of LINC Policy Council here. Voting will close on September 4.

Giertz Education Center now online

Congratulations to Virginia Erickson (shown below) and the staff at the Giertz Education Center, Krannert Art Museum! The library began circulating on LINC on Monday, August 27. This library has a rich collection of art and education resources that are now available to all of the LINC libraries.
