The LINC Directors Group Nominating Committee has met and approved a slate of candidates for LINC Policy Council's 5 open positions. Here is the list of candidates:
-Karen Hackman, Champaign Central High School (School Representative)
-Sarah Hill, Paris Union School (School Representative)
-Beth Kent, Oakwood Public Library District (Public Library Representative serving under 10,000)
-Debra Sherrick, Casey-Westfield School (At-Large Representative)
-Holly Thompson, Rantoul Public Library (Public Library Representative any size)
The LINC Bylaws prescribe that candidates be selected making every effort to nominate candidates from a broad representation of library size, geographic distribution, and type of population served (elementary, high school, rural, and urban). The LINC Bylaws also prescribe that the list of candidates for LINC Policy Council be posted on the LTLS website at least 2 weeks prior to balloting (click here to see the posting). Any eligible representative that wishes to be placed on the ballot can petition to be placed on the ballot when at least 10 members of the LINC Directors Group sign such a petition and no other LINC Policy Council member is already representing that petitioner's agency.

-Susan McKinney, St. Joseph-Township Public Library (Public Library Representative)
