MyMediaMall training scheduled

The next Digital Library 101 online training session for MyMediaMall has been scheduled for Monday, October 27 at 2 p.m. Staff from all MyMediaMall member libraries are welcome to participate. If interested, send an email to Pat Boze, pboze@lincolntrail.info, for the authorization and connection information.

New MyMediaMall PR products

Several new MyMediaMall public relations products have been developed and are available for libraries to use. See the variety of flyers, posters, bookmarks, and press releases by clicking here.  Many of these products can be customized with your library name.

Six new libraries join LINC

Six new libraries received LSTA grants to join LINC this year. Initial configuration and setup meetings have already been held and these libraries will soon begin adding holdings to LINC.  Here is the list of new members:

DeLand-Weldon School Library, Monticello Middle School Library, Sheldon Public Library District, White Heath Elementary School Library (Monticello), Washington Elementary School Library (Monticello). Chrisman Public Library, which has been a Union List library (holdings only) for years, received a grant to purchase hardware and become a full, circulating library member of LINC.

CODI Conference 2009

CODI (Customers of Dynix Inc)) and UUGI (Unicorn Users Group Inc) has announced the first-ever CODI/UUGI 2009 Joint Conference, in Dallas, TX. Come meet with fellow SirsiDynix users Monday, April 6 - Wednesday, April 8, at the Sheraton in Dallas.

The Joint Conference promises to offer unique opportunities for seeing innovative programs and for learning about current and future technologies, including a range of add-on solutions. Programs will include Symphony and Horizon applications, with some presentations focusing on various aspects of migration from Horizon to Symphony.

Three pre-conference workshops, sponsored by CODI and UUGI, will be held on Sunday, April 5th, including one on general considerations when migrating from Horizon to Symphony; using Z39.50 and Smartport in Symphony; and an introduction to Content Management Systems.

Any staff from a LINC library who wants to attend this conference is welcome to do so, with the understanding that expenses (registration, hotel, travel, meals, etc.) must be paid by the library.
