Are you interested in serving on the MyMediaMall Collection Development committee? The terms of the current committee members will end in July/August 2011. The new committee members need to be in place and trained by the end of June/early July.
This the official call for volunteers. Currently, there are 5 people on the committee and they decide based on their expertise in what areas they select materials. The current committee has one person doing non-fiction, 2 doing fiction, 1 doing children's/young adult and 1 handling request purchase alerts. Over the year, the committee is charged with purchasing over $200,000 in downloadable titles.
Committee members will have 2 in-person meetings. One will be following the annual meeting at Schaumburg on June 8th and the other will be sometime 1/2 way through the year.
