All LINC libraries need to run their auto notices every day. You do not have to print or email them but the batch needs to be run.
We are discovering that when notices aren't run that it can cause problems in certain situation on borrower's records.
As an example:
A borrower from Library A has overdues accruing on Library B's items. Library A does not run their batch. Over time the items remain as an overdue rather than aging to Lost. Aging them to Lost places blocks on this borrower so that other libraries will know that this is a problem account.
Hopefully, in our new automation system, this type of exercise will not be needed to keep the borrower accounts working correctly.
Please don't forget to purge your batch when you are finished running it!!
