After receiving an OCLC request from CHN or URN:
2) Check the item out to a CHN or URN patron barcode that you have established for the library. This is the same procedure that you would use if the OCLC request came from outside of our area. In Horizon, use your location code, type the name of the library and as much information as you know, your barcode, a btype of In System ILL (each library should have this code). This will help keep track of your item, change the status to checked out, and allow for overdues, etc. if needed, to be generated.
3) (NEW) Label the item. Use an ILDS label form. In the Final Destination field, write out either Champaign Public Library or Urbana Free Library, with LTL circled.
4) It is always a best practice to insert a return label, again your library will be the Final Destination, with LTL circled on the form.
5) When an item is returned to your library, check the item in through Horizon and then update the OCLC request.
