Public Per Capita Letters & Monies

LTLS has learned that public per capita letters will be coming out soon. Monies will be given later this year than normal. No specific dates or timeframes have been announced.

House Bill 1727

The Illinois House of Representatives Judiciary I, Civil Law Committee has cancelled its hearing scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday, 7 March 2007) to vote on the Mandatory Internet Filters on Public Library Computers House Bill (HB) 1727.

The hearing was canceled by the bill's sponsor Kevin Joyce (D-35, Worth).

It might now be held next week -- Wednesday, 14 March 2007.

If you were planning on attending or know of someone who was going to Springfield, please spread the word that people should not go tomorrow for the hearing on House Bill (HB) 1727.
