Adopt a School Library Month

On the U.S.Senate floor Thursday, March 29th, Illinois Senator Dick Durbin introduced a Senate Resolution designating September as “Adopt A School Library Month.” For more information about this surprising show of support for school library programs and how you can follow up, go to Youth Source, a blog created as a cooperative effort between the Shawnee Library System and the Lincoln Trail libraries System to share information with those of you serving young people. LSTA Letter of Intent Alert

When submitting your LSTA Letters of Intent online via ELI, you will receive an email confirmation. Another email is automatically sent to ISL.  That is used by ISL to generate the grant cover sheet which is faxed back to you.  Because of the number of applications, some of these emails to ISL are bouncing so you may receive a "Delivery Failure" email saying your LSTA Letter of Intent could not be delivered.  This does not mean there was any problem with the submission on ELI, only that the extra copy sent to ISL bounced.

If you receive an email from "postmaster@ELI.sls.lib.il.us" with the Subject: "Delivery Status Notification (Failure)", please manually forward the email to Becky Hunter at bhunter@ilsos.net.
