PLA Seeks Essays for "Perspectives" Column

“Perspectives” is a regular feature in Public Libraries, the journal of the Public Library Association. The column is made up of four to six essays on a particular issue or topic of interest to people who work in and with public libraries.

Association for Library Service to Children National Institute

Reaching Forward South Conference for Library Support Staff

The Reaching Forward South Conference for Library Support Staff will be held October 2-3, 2008, at the Northfield Inn in Springfield. This year’s theme is “Library Support Staff: A True Treasure.” On Thursday afternoon there will be two sessions to choose from and in the evening attendees will network with SS Treasure Pursuit! On Friday the keynote speaker will be Karen Schmitt, President of Karen Schmitt and Associates Consulting and Training. The day will be filled with great sessions to choose from. This year’s conference fee is $65 all inclusive and the deadline for registration is September 26, 2008.
