The Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) has released an updated version of its popular Scholarly Communication Toolkit in a new format and with updated content. The toolkit continues to provide context and background by summarizing key issues to offer quick, basic information on scholarly communication topics. It also links to examples of specific tools, including handouts, presentations and videos for libraries to adapt and use on their own campuses. February 12, 2009 marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of President Abraham Lincoln. Organizations throughout the country will mark this historic event, and because of Lincoln’s connections to the state of Illinois, our state will be the focus of many bicentennial celebrations. The Illinois State Library and Illinois State Archives are the two divisions within the Secretary of State’s office that have tangible connections to Lincoln.
