Sarah Cannon of Villa Grove Schools reports that a DVD called Surviving the Dust Bowl, sent on interlibrary loan April 29 by Urbana Free Library, has not arrived.  If you have received the DVD in error, please forward it to the Villa Grove Schools

Library receives record 47 years late

You can’t blame the person who recently returned an old record to a central Illinois library for slipping quickly out the door. The record was a little late.

OK, a lot late.

Fondulac District Library Director Amy Falasz-Peterson says the album by 1950s pop singer Julius La Rosa was checked on Feb. 12, 1962. That made it 17,438 days — over 47 years — overdue when it showed up this month.

Lost Glasses

LTLS has a growing collection of lost glasses and sunglasses.  One pair of reading glasses was found after the Public Per Capita workshop, and a pair of clip-on sunglasses was found after the School Library Day workshop.  Another pair of clip-on sunglasses in a black case was also found.  Please contact Mary Johnston (mjohns@lincolntrail.info) to claim them.
