FY 2010 LTLS Budget Update

On a conference call this am, I learned that we will experience a 16% reduction in income from the Illinois State Library. This 16% ($136,162) is in the Lincoln Trail Libraries System General Fund and will certainly cause some changes to be made in our services. I will be putting together a new plan for FY 2010 to be submitted to ISL by the end of September. At this time no decision has been made on how we will address this significant cut in revenue. While this is significant, the cut could have been as much as 40% so in that light it is a win. A deliberative process will be utilized to address the funding issue.
