The grand opening for the new Champaign Public Library was held on January 6, 2008. The numbers of people attending was indeed grand and the computers were immediately busy. Lines of people waited to check out the new books. Congratulations to the City, the Foundation, the Board and the staff for a great new addition to library service in Illinois.
