The St. Joseph Township Swearingen Memorial Library will host Rebecca Mabry, author of The Amish of Illinois' Heartland, who will speak at 7 p.m. on February 25, 2008. The book provides an up-close, personal glimpse into the lifestyles and culture of the Amish community at Arthur-Arcola. Photographs for the book are by Vanda Bidwell or rural Ogden.
