Lincoln Legacy Learning Kits are available at the Charleston Carnegie Public Library to schools, teachers, clubs and organizations.
The kits may be checked out one at a time per library card for a four-week period.

- Abraham Lincoln Reading Kit – Multiple copies of Abraham Lincoln books; informational folders; “Abraham Lincoln: Man or Myth” DVD; “Abraham Lincoln: Preserving the Union” DVD; “Music of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum” CD.
-Civil War Soldier Kit – leather journal and ink well; tin canteen, plate and cup; food and personal items (e.g. playing cards, hardtack, coffee beans, marbles, etc.); informational folder with artifacts; “Bobby Horton, CSA No. 3” CD; “Bobby Horton, USA No. 2” CD.
- Mary Todd Lincoln Kit – personal items (clothing accessories, hygiene products, etc.); flashcards; traveler’s writing chest; “Homespun America” CD; “Stephen Foster’s America” CD; “Abraham and Mary Lincoln: A House Divided” DVD.
- Slavery in Illinois Kit – shackles; food and personal items (cotton ball, tobacco, sugar cone, washboard, etc.); wooden spoons; “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” DVD; “Slavery and the Making of America” DVD; “American Negro Spirituals” CD.For more information contact [email protected]
