The BIG READ book selection for this year is My Antonia, by Willa Cather, which took place in the plains of Nebraska in the late nineteenth century. Stop in the library to get a free copy of this classic book to read and share!
In conjunction with The BIG READ, Mrs. Susan Maurer, Marshall High School Family and Consumer Science teacher, will present a program about food in the days of the pioneers. The program will take place at Marshall Public Library on Thursday, March 18th, beginning at 6:30 PM in the library’s Dale McConchie meeting room.

Participants will take a look at life in a pioneer kitchen, kitchen utensils, and cooking methods of the day. You may even get to sample some typical pioneer foods!
This free program is open to the public. Please call or visit the library to register.
