The BIG READ is here!

Marshall's Antique Study Club members have arranged a fascinating display of items from pioneer days at Marshall Public Library.  The collection will be on display throughout the month of March in conjunction with the library's BIG READ activities which are highlighing the classic book, My Antonia, by Willa Cather, this year.  Also enjoy a smaller display detailing the life of Willa Cather.  Drop by the library for a free copy of the book to read and share. 

Marshall Public Library wants you to be part of The BIG READ! Interesting programs, book discussions, and displays are taking place at the library for both adults and children revolving around this year’s selected book, My Antonia. Stop by the library for a free copy of the book to read and share!

A book discussion led by head librarian Alissa Tipton will take place this Thursday evening, March 11th at 6:30 PM and on Wednesday, March 17th, at 10:30 AM. Then on Thursday, March 18th at 6:30 PM, Mrs. Susan Maurer will present a fascinating program on pioneer foods.  Children will enjoy a pioneer craft and story on Saturday morning, March 20th at 10:30 AM.  Don’t miss a beautiful and interesting pioneer living display by Marshall’s Antique Study Club, which is in the display cases now through the end of the month.  There is even a word search, crossword puzzle and trivia quiz about the novel that will earn you a small prize.   Join the fun!
