Marshall Public Library is pleased to announce that Marshall native Teri Jo Patterson will give a book talk and signing on Thursday, July 7th, 2011, at 6:30 PM (Central) in Marshall Public Library’s Dale McConchie Meeting Room. Patterson is a 1982 Marshall High School graduate and currently resides in Terre Haute, Indiana. Her book, Corky and Lizzie - A Visit from the Tooth Fairy, is her first published work and this will be her inaugural book signing. Her love for children along with her own creativity inspired the writing of this delightful chapter book for children ages 8-12.
The book’s characters Corky and Lizzie are best friends. They meet every morning under the big apple tree to catch the school bus. Lizzie gets worried when Corky doesn’t show up for school. She later finds out that he lost a tooth and went to the dentist.
Books will be available for purchase from the author for $15.00 after the program. They are also available online.
This program is free and open to the public. Marshall Public Library is located at 612 Archer Avenue, in Marshall, Illinois and at www.marshallillibrary.com. The library is handicapped accessible, however if special arrangements are needed, kindly allow 48 hours notice.
