LTLS provides a free online book club service, through DearReader.com, to patrons of all LTLS member libraries. Patrons subscribe to one or more of six available book clubs and receive a daily email containing a chapter each day. Club selections change each week, giving readers a chance to sample a wide range of titles. Each email contains a link to the LINC Online Catalog so readers can locate the books in area libraries.
Nearly 600 readers currently subscribe to one or more of the LTLS Online book clubs. LTLS clubs include the Original, Audio, Business, Teen, Good News, and Fiction Clubs. To join the book clubs, the only information needed is a valid email address. Patrons can cancel at any time.
LTLS member libraries wanting to publicize this service can place the following html code on their web page:
