Public Library Per Capita Requirements

The Rolling Prairie Library System has compiled a useful chart of references for meeting the FY10 and FY11 Public Per Capita grant requirements. Charts are available for city, village and township libraries under the Local Library Act and for district libraries under the Library District Act.  Very useful and very timely.  Thanks RPLS!

Visit from ISL and IMLS

Michele Farrell, Senior Program Officer from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and Karen Egan, LSCA Grant Consultant from the Illinois State Library visited with Jan Ison and Consultants at Lincoln Trail Libraries System on November 15th. Michele and Karen are visiting several grant sites in Illinois and LTLS was fortunate to be included in the visit. We were pleased to be able to share our recent grant projects with Michele especially Diversity and Cultural Competencies and Polytalk. We also talked about our newest project the statewide toolkit for a "universal OPAC." The Illinois State Library has a great reputation for being sure that grant funds are available at the local level and libraries all across Illinois have benefited from this philosophy. The staff enjoyed "showing off" our projects and learning about some of opportunities for other IMLS grants.
